The RF amplifier has been designed for applications in individual and small community antenna installations (MATV systems). The VHF/UHF input is usually connected with appropriate antennas via a diplexer. The amplifier can power preamplifiers in the VHF/UHF path (12 VDC, via the coaxial cable). This option requires to move a jumper, as described in the instructions supplied with the amplifier.
The set includes stabilized power supply (12 VDC / 120 mA, 3.5 mm jack). The amplifier can also be powered remotely from other device (via coaxial cable connected to the output, e.g. from power supply D0010). Notice: Power balance has to include power consumption of preamplifiers, if used.
AWS-1134 has two inputs, UHF and VHF/UHF (the latter covering FM, BIII, and UHF, each band with separate gain adjustment). The use of two amplifier stages greatly improves noise parameters. The amplifier is also equipped with a test connector to allow trouble-free measurement of signal levels.
AWS-11xx amplifiers are equipped with solid, cast metal housings, which protect them against external interferences.
