Details
The AWS-1142 amplifier is designed for use in individual and community antenna installations. In the case of individual installations, the antennas should be connected by a diplexer. The amplifier has the possibility of supplying 12 V preamplifiers. For this purpose, the jumper should be moved according to the included instructions.
A 12 V 120 mA stabilised power supply with a 3.5 jack connector is included, although it is also possible to realise the power supply via the amplifier output (using a power supply with separator, e.g. D0010). Note! In the case of remote power supply, the maximum current of the power supply must be calculated, taking into account the preamplifiers used. The AWS-114x series includes one, two, three and four output amplifiers. Compared to the older AWS-14x series, the gain control has been changed, which now takes place between the amplifier stages, which has a very positive effect on the noise characteristics (in the previous version, the control was at the input).
The AWS-114x amplifiers have a sleek, solidly cast housing that perfectly protects the amplifier from external interference. The AWS-1142 also features 3 dB cable attenuation correction.
Adjustment of the amplifier is carried out by removing the chassis, which prevents inadvertent adjustment of the settings.
The amplifier is not intended to be used in open spaces or areas with high humidity.
