Details
The broadband amplifier AWS-1242 has been designed for use in TV/FM antenna installations in homes and buildings. In the case of individual installations, the signals from band antennas have to be first combined in a diplexer. The amplifier passes DC voltage (12V) for supplying preamplifier/s. To use this option it is needed to set the jumper (it is shown in enclosed instructions).
A 12 V 250 mA stabilised power supply with a 3.5 jack connector is included, although it is also possible to provide power via the amplifier output (using an isolator, e.g. C0397, with the power supply included with the amplifier).
Note! In the case of remote power supply, the maximum power supply current must be calculated, taking into account the preamplifiers used. The AWS-124x series includes one, two, three and four output amplifiers. Compared to the older AWS-24x series, the gain control has been changed, which now takes place between the amplifier stages, which has a very positive effect on the noise characteristics (in the previous version, the control was at the input).
The AWS-124x amplifiers have an elegant, solidly cast ZnAl housing, which perfectly protects the amplifier from external interference. The amplifier is not intended for use in open spaces or areas of high humidity.
