Details
The AWS-1244 amplifier is designed for use in individual and community antenna installations. In the case of individual installations, the antennas should be connected by a diplexer. The amplifier has the possibility of powering preamplifiers with 12 V. For this purpose the jumper has to be moved, according to the included instructions.
A 12 V 250 mA stabilised power supply with a 3.5 jack connector is included, although it is also possible to provide power via the amplifier output (using an isolator, e.g. C0397, with the power supply included with the amplifier).
Note! In the case of remote power supply, the maximum power supply current must be calculated, taking into account the preamplifiers used. The AWS-124x series includes one, two, three and four output amplifiers. Compared to the older AWS-24x series, the gain control has been changed, which now takes place between the amplifier stages, which has a very positive effect on the noise characteristics (in the previous version, the control was at the input).
The AWS-124x amplifiers are put into Zn-Al cast housings that guarantee excellent shielding effectiveness and good look. The amplifiers are not prepared for outdoor operation or in places with high humidity.
