It is diode illuminator (98 diodes) powered by DC12V.
Attention: The power supply is not included in the set.
The reflector comes with a bracket and manual. It can be installed both for top operation (e.g. from a ceiling) and on a wall.
We also offer other IR illuminators: M1652 (diode illuminator – range of up to 10m), M1655 – halogen illuminator (range of up to 30m).
Infrared - it is worth knowing some facts about.
Infrared illuminators are employed in CCTV systems where there is the need of operation in pitch-darkness. Like common lights, they differ in power and angle of shining. The power, in connection with the angle and efficiency, directly determines the range of operation. But it is not the only factor deciding about general quality of the whole monitoring system using IR illumination.
Choosing a camera for IR operation it is important to ensure:
- highest possible sensitivity,
- good S/N ratio – the larger value the clearer picture,
- high sensitivity within IR range.
It should also be remembered there are special lenses better prepared for work with IR illuminators. Of course, it is also valid common rule that it is better to pick up lenses with smallest F number.
IR waves extend from 700 to 1000 nm. With the increase of wavelength, the light of glowing illuminator becomes less visible for a man, however the sensitivity of cameras decreases , too. IR illuminators are equipped with built-in filters: 750 nm (the glowing is visible), 830 nm ("matt effect" - the glowing is hardly seen), 950 nm (completely invisible for humane eye). IR lamps are made with LEDs or halogen bulbs. The first are long-lived, but their power is lower.
