Ultimax 2108 is a modern IP network video recorder capable of monitoring, recording and playing back images from 8 MP IP cameras at frame rates up to 25 fps from each camera. This standalone NVR with VGA and HDMI outputs can be directly connected to a monitor, without a need for an additional computer. Thanks to embedded Linux OS, the NVR ensures stable operation and resistance to computer viruses.
The local recording and network transmission uses H.264 compression that provides good image quality with relatively small bandwidth and disk space consumption. There is place for two SATA HDD with total capacity up to 8 TB. In addition, the NVR supports NAS (NFS) and SAN (iSCSI)disk arrays. The option of automatic overwriting of existing material prevents loss of the current data. Built-in USB ports can be used for control of the NVR via external devices and for connecting a USB storage device, usually to copy some data.
Thanks to the 25 fps frame rate in each channel, the NVR is ideal for monitoring dynamic environments such as streets, expressways/highways, parking lots, bus stations etc. For example, a car traveling at a speed of 60 km/h covers 16 meters a second, so a DVR recording video at 10 fps would have "linear resolution" of 1.6 meter, not acceptable in many applications (loss of a huge amount of information between consecutive frames). Hikvision DS-7604NI-SE operating at 25 fps provides video footage that is 2.5 times more accurate in this sense.

A new menu of the DVR has been designed in a manner that helps everyone, even novice users, navigate and make changes to the settings. Both the layout of commonly used functions and graphic design meet the highest current standards. Support for Google Chrome, Opera and Safari web browsers eliminates the need for installing/using ActiveX controls.
Browsing the archives locally, the user can simultaneously play them back from all 4 channels. To quickly localize the interesting moment/period, the video records are presented on timelines (24 hours). The playback can be started just by clicking on a point on a timeline.
Ultimax NVRs in IP networks can be controlled via IVMS 4200 software. The software allows for configuration and management of NVRs/DVRs and IP cameras. The iVMS 4200 utility can remotely manage up to 50 NVRs/DVRs. The user accounts can have different access/management rights, from the highest level of "administrator" to individually limited "guest" levels.
