The Hikvision DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS professional IP camera belongs to the Lightfighter series, a family of cameras designed for use in environments with high contrast in light between dark and bright areas. Ultra-high WDR technology with depth of 140 dB overcomes problems with good visibility of details in very dark and very bright parts of the image. The professional Hikvision DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS K17891 IP camera has been equipped with 1/2.8" Progressive Scan CMOS with resolution of 2 MP and frame rate up to 50/60 fps. High sensitivity of the camera (0.005 lx in color mode) and advanced video processing algorithms ensure exceptional image quality in extremely difficult lighting conditions. The camera has MOTOZOOM lens enabling remote control of the viewing angle. Built-in analytic tools are useful for creating advanced projects.

The camera provides H.264+, H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG video compression options. The H.264+ algorithm is based on H.264 compression, but optimized for video surveillance. The results are very good, ensuring reduction of the data streams by 50-70%, while maintaining the same image quality compared with the H.264 codec. Three available video streams allow the user to configure the system in a convenient way, depending on the needs. The first and third streams can be set independently (with resolution up to FullHD), whereas the second stream has lower resolution. Additionally, the user can setup up to 4 ROIs (regions of interest). The video data from the ROIs is transmitted with lower compression ratio guarantying more detail without a significant increase of the total bandwidth.

The Lightfighter DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS camera belongs to Smart IPC group featuring advanced image analysis functions. In addition to basic alarm events such as motion detection, the advanced functions (e.g. face detection) allow users to create professional IP CCTV systems. After connecting the camera to a Hikvision NVR supporting these functions, the users can easily and fast search the recordings for the specific events (e.g. crossing a virtual line). The camera provides the following analytical functions:

The camera can be used for license plate recognition. In order to get the full functionality, such a camera should be connected to a Hikvision NVR supporting the LPR function (after downloading a special piece of software). The NVR stores previously imported lists of "white" and "black" car plates (allowed / prohibited) and the recordings of the cars emerging in the field of view of the camera. Depending on which list there is the license plate of the approaching car, the assigned alarm events will control the state of alarm outputs available in the system. For example, if the car is on the "white" list, the signal from the alarm output will open the entrance gate, whereas if the license of the car is contained in the "black" list, the system will alert the security guard. Another reaction can be assigned when the car is not in any list. In each case the system records the video with the license numbers. The operator can easily search the NVR resources for specific license plates by entering full, initial or fragmentary character/number set. Another searching option is based on the required time interval.
