Details

TERRA mix-440 R81611 transmodulator converts IP stream (TSoIP) provided in UDP/RTP protocols (unicast/multicast SPTS and MPTS transmissions) and RTSP stream (from IP cameras) to DVB-T COFDM standard. One mix-440 R81611 panel receives IP stream with bit rate up to 200 Mbps and creates 4 freely configurable four neighboring DVB-T multiplexes, each with maximum bit rate up to 31.66 Mbps (the limit is determined by the DVB-T standard). In practice, each of the four multiplexes can carry 6 SD channels or 2-3 HD channels. The administrator of the system selects the required channels from the IP stream and forms the four DVB-T MUXes. In each case, it is necessary to remember about 10% safety margin when determining the maximum bit rate for the whole multiplex (typically the ultimate bit rate of a multiplex should not exceed 29 Mbps). The output DVB-T COFDM multiplexes are usually distributed to users by a passive network composed of RF splitters/taps. Such a solution is especially convenient in modern hotel TV systems distributing a variety of satellite channels, including HD broadcasts.
Thanks to RJ-45 Ethernet port, the programming of the mix-440 R81611 panel is performed via a web browser (no need for a programmer).
Key features
  • conversion of IP stream (TSoIP) provided in UDP/RTP protocols (unicast/multicast SPTS and MPTS transmissions) to DVB-T COFDM standard,
  • reception of IP stream with bit rate up to 200 Mbps and conversion of it into freely configured four neighboring DVB-T multiplexes (MUXes),
  • injection of signals from IP cameras (H.264/H.265) into TV antenna system,
  • each of the four DVB-T MUXes can have maximum bit rate up to 31.66 Mbps,
  • the administrator can select the output channels and filter services in digital streams,
  • cooperation with IPTV streamers that enable management and distribution of satellite, terrestrial and CATV channels within Ethernet (LAN) networks based on twisted-pair cabling,
  • USB port allowing for playing materials provided in .ts format,
  • easy management and control via RJ-45 port simplifies installation procedure,
  • management an control via the Internet,
  • event history (logs),
  • AGC function.
The transmodulator can be integrated with other components:
  • media converters, which are used for transmission of IP signals via fiber-optic medium
  • IPTV streamers, which are used for management and distribution of satellite, terrestrial and cable DVB television channels within Ethernet (LAN) networks based on twisted-pair cabling
  • Hikvision IP cameras - injection of H.264/H.265 signals into TV antenna system without a need for additional DVB-T modulators
The R81611 units can be mounted on the R82538 or R82539 DIN rail (also in a RACK cabinet) and powered from DR-60-12 R82532 or UP413 R82533 power supply.
An example of configuring the mix440 module for RTSP streams from HikVision cameras
Mix-440 R81611 can create four DVB-T multiplexes (MUXes), each with a maximum throughput of 31.66 Mbps, which is sufficient for the support of 12 Full HD IP cameras. In this case, each MUX should transmit signals from 3 Full HD IP cameras. The number of supported IP cameras is limited both by the capacity of the processor and the maximum throughput of each DVB-T multiplex (ca. 31 Mbps). The device has been tested only with HikVision IP cameras.
