IP CCTV systems are still gaining popularity. The main cause of this phenomenon is practically unlimited image resolution, which means that any area can be watched by a camera with any available resolution, up to many megapixels. In systems based on analog cameras, image resolution could not exceed 720 x 576 pixels, i.e. about 0.4 Mpx. Popular ACTi cameras operate at the resolution of 1.3 Mpx, at least three times better. The advantage can be clearly seen in the real images recorded with the cameras.

The most popular ACTi megapixel cameras are ACM4201 K1514, ACM1231 K1511, ACM5611 K1512. They are equipped with 1.3 Mpx sensors and allow to perform detail monitoring with frame speed up to 8 fps. Thanks to cooperation with ULTISYSTEM K3216 software, the cameras can be used in even very large systems.

ACM4201 K1514 is a megapixel camera designed for operation inside buildings. Due to small size, the camera is an ideal device to use in stores, offices, storerooms. Having built-in IR filter, the camera cannot be used with IR illuminators. They are usually unnecessary in the places mentioned above. The camera can be powered from 12VDC power supply or via UTP cable (PoE). The latter way makes it easy to install the camera using only one cable. A great feature is possibility of changing the lens for most suitable one, e.g. from the top quality Tokina family (M2301 etc.).

ACTi ACM4201 K1514

ACM1231 K1511 is a very popular model of megapixel camera for outdoor applications. It is employed in video surveillance systems for monitoring parking lots, entrances, industrial environments with high dust loads, roads and metropolitan areas. The camera can operate in any weather conditions (IP66) without a need of using additional protective housing, heater or fan. The employed CMOS sensor and IR illuminator allow operation even in total darkness (0 lx). Due to varifocal lens (f 3.3 - 12 mm) the viewing angle can be adjusted according to specific requirements. The camera can be powered from 12VDC power supply or via UTP cable (PoE).

ACTi ACM1231 K1511

ACM5611 K1512 is a megapixel day/night camera. It can be used indoors or outdoors (thanks to small size it can be put into any outdoor housing, e.g. M5406). The camera is equipped with a fixed lens, which, depending on the needs, can be exchanged to any varifocal lens (with manual iris). Particularly recommended are highest quality Tokina lenses, e.g. M2302. The camera can be powered from 12VDC power supply or via UTP cable (PoE). The latter way makes it easy to install the camera using only one cable. The color equivalent of K1512 is K1513, designed for applications in brighter environments.
