Protect 115 M80115 is a 4-channel mobile DVR designed for use in coaches, city buses, minibuses, street cars / trams, subway, corporate vehicles, tractor-trailer trucks / TIR tracks, patrol cars, prisoner vans, ambulances, military vehicles. It has been specifically designed to provide increased resistance to vibration and shock. This model has been equipped with built-in GPS module.
The DVR is designed to be mounted inside the cab of a vehicle, e.g. under the seat, in a glove compartment etc. The power cables have to be connected to the battery and ignition switch (similar to radio), so that the device automatically begins video and audio recording simultaneously with turning on the ignition. This function is maintained for 8 seconds after turning off the ignition. The power circuit is protected by 10 A fuse.
Protect 114 has 4 sockets to plug in adapters terminated with standard connectors for security cameras: BNC (video), RCA (audio), 2.1/5.5 mm jack (12 VDC). They enable the installer to quickly and easily connect the cameras and microphones, including power supply provided directly from the DVR. The DVR allows for simultaneous live monitoring and recording of four channels, (4x AHD 720p @ 25 fps or 4x WD1 @ 25 fps). When the maximum resolution of all channels is limited to WD1, the DVR can additionally operate with a 1080p IP camera.
The included GPS antenna has a magnet and double-sided adhesive tape for easy attachment to a car element. It should be mounted close to a window to receive the best possible signals. Thin antenna cable with length of 5 m cable can be easily pull through the vehicle upholstery. GPS allows the user to save data such as current position and speed, and then restore the route via the included application. The application, in addition to generating the map of a journey, allows the user to playback recordings from individual cameras and indicate moments of the activation of alarm inputs.
The IP camera (Onvif-compliant, e.g. Hikvision) is to be connected to the RJ45 socket. The network interface can also be used for connecting the DVR to a LAN in order to configure it, view the recordings, backup some data (via Internet Explorer).
If the DVR is installed in an inaccessible place, we recommend to use Control Panel PROTECT LED KL-1 M80103. The control panel is used as a monitor of the operating status of the mobile DVR and as IR remote control extender.
The use of SD cards as the storage media allows for easy and fast access to the stored data - it is enough to take out the card from the DVR and insert it to the card reader in a PC/laptop. So, in need of archiving, the user does not have to connect a laptop directly to the DVR in the vehicle. It is easy to copy the data from the card, or simply keep it as the archive (and put into the DVR another card, either a new or formatted one). The recordings can be played back with the use of the included CMS software. Along with searching and playing back functions, the software has the ability to generate graphs showing the activity of alarm inputs within defined time periods.
If the user wishes to play back recordings on typical video players (e.g. Windows Media Player), the CMS application allows for converting them into avi or mp4 format. It is enough to click on the AVI icon in the play menu.

Alarm inputs can monitor any systems of the vehicle which provide electrical signals coming from the sensors and control devices, e.g. fuel filler opening, opening/closing doors, fastening seat belts, opening cargo space, pressing the brake pedal, switching on turn signal etc.
The DVR is managed with the use of the included IR remote control. The graphical menu is available via analog video output and can be displayed on a suitable video monitor.
