Details
Radial multiswitches of the MR series are dedicated for small and medium (4-70 outlets) installations with distribution of intermediate frequency SAT and terrestrial TV signals. The multiswitches are designed for indoor operation. If there is a need to connect a larger number of multiswitches, it is necessary to use splitters and taps of SD-5XX series to divide the bus.
The multiswitches of MR series are are intended for systems wholly or partly based on star topology in which the cables to the terminal outlets go from one multiswitch or a group of multiswitches. This solution is optimal for single-family homes and many multifamily houses. In more complex systems the power supplies built into MR multiswitches can power other system components.
The MR-508 R70608 multiswitch has 5 inputs and 8 outputs - it is used for distributing SAT TV channels from one satellite and terrestrial DVB-T, DAB and FM broadcasts to 8 outlets. In the case of twin PVR receivers, one receiver has to be connected to two outlets.
The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit.
The input SAT signals to multiswitch systems are provided by QUATRO LNBs.
Key features:
- radial structure
- cable loss correction
- groups of outlets with different output levels
- isolation between inputs better than 30 dB
- possibility of using terrestrial TV preamplifier
- built-in power supply
- die-cast housing with high screening efficiency (class A)
A device from the well known Terra company that specializes in producing professional multiswitches for SMATV systems. Excellent workmanship, stable parameters and very low failure rate make TERRA multiswitches universally recommended.
An unquestionable advantage of MR-5XX multiswitches is diversification of output levels for different outputs. This guarantees similar signal levels in outlets located at different distances from the device. Additionally, the designer has used here pre-correction of the attenuation characteristics of the coaxial cable - signals of higher frequencies have higher levels, thanks to which the attenuation of the cable is properly compensated.
The device is powered with 230 V AC power network. All obligatory precautions for working with dangerous live voltages should be obeyed.
