Details
Radial multiswitches of MR series are dedicated for small and medium (4-70 outlets) SMATV systems with distribution of the first SAT IF and terrestrial TV signals. The multiswitches have to work inside buildings. In the case of larger systems it is necessary to use splitters and taps of SD-5XX series to extend the signal lines.
Radial multiswitches of the MR series are dedicated for installations based wholly or partly on star topology, where the cables from the terminal outlets converge at the point of installation of the multiswitch or a group of multiswitches. They are therefore ideal for applications in single- or multi-family houses. However, it is possible to use MR multiswitches in more complex systems. Then the built-in power supply can be used to power other components used in the installation.
The MR-516 R70616 multiswitch has 5 inputs and 16 outputs - it is used for distributing SAT TV channels from one satellite and terrestrial DVB-T, DAB and FM broadcasts to 16 outlets. In the case of twin PVR receivers, one receiver has to be connected to two outlets.
The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit.
The input SAT signals to multiswitch systems are provided by QUATRO LNBs.
Key features:
- radial structure
- cable loss correction
- groups of outlets with different output levels
- isolation between inputs better than 30 dB
- possibility of using terrestrial TV preamplifier (12 VDC)
- built-in power supply
- die-cast housing with high screening efficiency (class A)
The device from the well known Terra company that specializes in producing professional multiswitches for SMATV systems. Excellent workmanship, stable parameters and very low failure rate make TERRA multiswitches universally recommended.
An important advantage of MR-5XX multiswitches is diversification of signal levels at different groups of outputs. It allows to compensate the differences in attenuation of various lengths of cables that have to be used in the installation - we can get similar levels in all outlets. Additionally, the multiswitches compensate cable characteristics (provide higher levels for higher frequencies).
The unit is supplied with AC 230 V. All safety rules for these voltages must be obeyed.
