Details
The single-cable SRM-522 multiswitch is compatible with:
- a quatro LNB - the four satellite inputs are connected to four signals polarization/band (VL–HL–VH–HH), the fifth is the input of passive terrestrial TV/radio path;
- a wide band LNB - the four satellite inputs are used as two pairs connected to SAT IF signals within 290...2340 MHz range, the fifth is the input of passive terrestrial TV/radio path.
The programmable SRM-522 multiswitch has two SAT IF outputs (dSCR1 DC IN and dSCR2 Legacy, 950...2150 MHz ) allowing in dSCR mode for independent operation of up to 32 SAT dSCR receivers/STBs, fed in via two coaxial cables (16+16, default configuration) or via one coaxial cable (32 from one output, after reprogramming with the PC102W R80561 programmer). The dSCR2 Legacy output can be in Legacy mode used as a typical SAT output (like in Universal LNBs or standard (legacy) multiswitches) for connecting a legacy SAT TV receiver).
Notice! The Legacy output is operable only with a quatro LNB.
Key features:
- feed from a wide band type converter requires only two cables (one satellite position) or four (two satellite positions)
- compatible with quatro type converters (after installing 75 ohm resistor) or reprogramming with PC102W R80561 programmer
- built-in AGC - adjusts the amplification of the signal to ensure a constant level at its output; automatic equalization of the signal level up to 84 dBμV
- fully compliant with EN50494 - Unicable I, 8 UB - User Bands (8 channels)
- fully compliant with EN50607 - Unicable II, 32 UB - User Bands (32 channels)
- it is possible to mix receivers supporting EN50607 and EN50494, in the same network (8 x EN50494 + 24 x EN50607)
- in static mode, it works as an IF/IF converter
- in dynamic mode, it enables the division into signals of up to max. 32 receivers
The SRM522 R80522 pass-through multiswitch is a device that allows to distribute DVB-S/S2 signals from one satellite position, DVB-T terrestrial TV and analogue/DAB radio via a single coaxial cable, based on digital channel stacking technology. The SRM522 R80522 pass-through multiswitch has full support for receivers operating in two dynamic modes SCR (Unicable I - 8 User Bans) and dSCR (Unicable II - 32 User Bands). The SRM 522 is equipped with 5 inputs: two pairs of SAT IF inputs (290...2340 MHz (V1, H1, V2, H2), allowing to feed satellite signals from two Wide Band converters A98222) or quatro, Terr. TV (DVB-T/Radio signal) and two SAT IF outputs (950...2150 MHz): dSCR1 Out and dSCR2/Legacy Out. The single-cable dSCR mode allows independent division of up to 32 SAT STB receivers using two coaxial cables (up to 16 receivers from each output, 16+16 default configuration) or one coaxial cable (32 receivers from one output, after reprogramming with the PC102W R80561 programmer). The output in Legacy mode (regular output, as in a Universal LNB or in classic multiswitches) allows connection of a classic satellite receiver.
By default, the SRM522 R80522 multiswitch is configured so that one port operates as a Unicable port in dynamic mode, while the other port operates as a universal (Legacy) port and switches to Unicable as soon as it receives an EN50494 or EN50607 command. This means that each of the two outputs of the multiswitch can split the signal to up to 16 receivers, using a single EN50607 coaxial cable. The digital signal available at the output is supplied to the end receivers using satellite taps operating in the 5-2400 MHz band.
The device can operate in two modes:
- dynamic mode (DYNAMIC) - the output frequencies are fixed and each is assigned to a receiver (User Bands), with a maximum signal distribution via one coaxial cable of up to 32 tuners. The receivers must comply with EN50494/EN50607 (UNICABLE I/UNICABLE II).
- static mode (STATIC) - both input and output frequencies are fixed, works as an IF/IF converter allowing distribution of signals from 32 satellite transponders to an unlimited number of receivers.
The programming of dSCR multiswitches is performed by the dedicated PC102W R80561 programmer.
The cast housing provides a high shielding effect that prevents interfering signals from penetrating inside the unit.
The multiswitch requires an external power supply, such as PS202F 20 V 2 A R71468.
There are many models of different satellite receivers on the market today. Not all of them support the SCR/Unicable system in accordance with EN50494 and/or EN50607. The prerequisite for the use of SCR/UNICABLE technology is its implementation in the receiver. List of available satellite receivers that support single-cable multiswitches:

Broadband input signals within 290-2350 MHz frequency range from up to 4 satellites can be sent to the multiswitch outputs in the traditional mode (in the range of 950-2150 MHz) and received by any STB receivers (Legacy and dSCR / Unicable).
