Optical node OD-010R61 converts optical signals into RF electrical signals (forward channel) and vice versa (return channel). It cooperates with optical transmitters of MOS-211x series ( R81720, R81720B) transmitting modulated light over single-mode optical fiber, and in the case of using the return channel - also with ROS-121M R81721 receiver.
The optical node is mainly used in HFC CATV systems. In forward path the device receives modulated optical signal and converts it into RF signals within the range of 108-1002 MHz and in return channel the node modulates outgoing optical signal with input data contained within 5-65 MHz range. It is possible to order nodes working in other return channel bands (see the details at the end of this page). The maximum output level of the RF signals is 106 dBuV, which is sufficient for distributing them to 20-60 subscriber outlets without using additional amplifiers.
