The TM103N L5815 optical power meter is designed to measure optical power loss in multimode and single-mode fiber-optic networks. The device is calibrated to work with wavelengths of 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, and 1625 nm. Its wide measurement range (-50...+26 dBm) and high accuracy (+/-3% for -10 dBm) allow to carry out precise measurements in any fiber-optic network. The device has a reference level (dB) and absolute power (mW, dBm) measurement function.
The single optical port of the meter measures all wavelengths with a high degree of precision. The device is fitted with an auto-off function and a battery level indicator, which alerts the user that the battery needs to be replaced (3x AAA batteries, not included in the kit). One set of batteries lasts 120 hours (with the screen light off).
The device comes with a SC/PC connector, which makes it easy to select the appropriate patchcord. The kit also includes a FC/PC adapter and a protective case.
To carry out measurements in networks with no active equipment, the meter should ideally be used along with a TM102N-SM L5819 optical laser source.
