The TM503N L5816 optical power meter is designed to measure optical power loss in multimode and single-mode fiber-optic networks. The device is calibrated to work with wavelengths of 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, and 1625 nm. Its wide measurement range (-50...+26 dBm) and high accuracy (+/-5%/10nW) allow to carry out precise measurements in any fiber-optic network. The device has a reference level (dB) and absolute power (mW, dBm) measurement function. In addition, the meter was equipped with a 10mW visual fault locator (VFL)
The single optical port of the meter measures all wavelengths with a high degree of precision. The device is fitted with an auto-off function to protect the battery against discharge and a battery level indicator, which alerts the user that the battery needs to be recharged.
A unique feature of the meter is that it can be calibrated manually. Using a model device, installers may correct TM-503N measurements with the aid of the attached software. Correction can be performed for selected wavelengths
The device comes with a FC/PC connector, as well as SC/PC and ST/PC adapters, which makes it extremely versatile. Installers should have no problems selecting an appropriate patchcord.
The memory of the meter can save up to 255 measurements, which can then be easily displayed on the screen or exported to a PC (Excel app) through the attached software. In order to export data to a PC, it is necessary to have a mini-USB cable with enabled data transfer (the cable included in the kit is only designed for power supply).
Measurement report. The device saves measurement date and time, including data on absolute power and reference levels.
