Optical transmitter MOS-211A R81720 is dedicated for cooperation with TERRA MMH-3000 headend. It converts electrical input signals from the headend (RF IN) into modulated light for transmission over an optical fiber. This transmitter cooperates with OD-200P R81722 optical node.

Optical transmitter MOS-211A R81720 converts electrical input signals (RF) from the headend into modulated light for transmission over single-mode optical fiber (1310 nm, optical power of 6 dBm).
The device has been equipped with keypad and LCD display. The first information is current firmware version and device status. With reverse channel, it is possible to obtain information on remote optical node.
Optical links are indispensable when the SMATV/cable TV network is quite extensive (the distance between the headend and distributing network exceeds 300 m).
NOTICE
  • The transmitter can be switched on only when the whole link has been carefully installed.
  • It is not allowed to directly connect the optical transmitter and receiver. For testing one/both of the devices one needs to employ appropriate attenuator.

MOS211A can also be controlled with TerraLink software. As the program can control max two UC-380 subracks, the optical transmitter should be addressed as one of the modules (on the condition of reserving the place for this module).
