High quality N-male connector E84130 for use with Tri-Lan 240 and Belden H-155 cables. The connector can be used up to 6 GHz. It features low insertion loss and high return loss. 5-6 GHz systems require specially designed quality connectors that ensure optimal parameters. Tri-Lan 240 - low-loss cable. The cable guarantees not only efficient power transmission but also ensures savings on installation cost, in the process of migration from 2.4GHz to 5GHz band (it can work in both bands, so the cabling will not have to be replaced). The sheath of the cable is made of PE (UV-resistant), so Tri-Lan 240 can be used outdoors. Self-amalgamating SCAPA 2501 tape is based on PIB (Polyisobutylene) rubber. It is a versatile material for waterproofing, corrosion protection, jointing and repair of cables - used indoors and outdoors. Product properties and correct application ensure waterproof connections (for fresh and sea water) in a wide range of temperatures.

Details
Self-amalgamating tape E9751 made by SCAPA is based on PIB (Polyisobutylene) rubber. It is a versatile material for waterproofing, corrosion protection, jointing and repair of cables - used indoors and outdoors. Product properties and correct application ensure waterproof connections (for fresh and sea water) in a wide range of temperatures.
This self-amalgamating tape provides basic protection of connections in power distribution systems, telecommunications, RF installations - especially outdoors, e.g.:
- F-type connectors on coaxial cables
- CCTV cable connections on BNC and F connectors
- connections of twisted-pair cables
- connections of coaxial cables in WLAN networks made on N, SMA, SMA/RP connectors and others
- connections of coaxial cables in WLAN networks to external antennas or access points on N, SMA/RP connectors
Key features:
- the vulcanisation process occurs automatically after application
- wide operating temperature range -40°...90°C
- can be applied to many types of rubber and cable insulating plastics (e.g. PE, PVC, butyl, neoprene)
- high resistance to long-term immersion in water and excellent ozone resistance
- easy stripping without leaving any residue on the surface - ideal for temporary applications
- comes with a plastic spacer that must be removed before applying the tape
The tape has no adhesive, the sealing of the joint being the result of self-amalgamating of the successive layers of tape. The surface to which the tape is applied must be dry, dust and grease-free. For the self-amalgamating process to work properly, the ambient temperature should be positive. The higher it is, the faster the process takes place. At room temperature, full vulcanisation takes place after 24 hours. The end result is a homogeneous (no air or water bubbles) insulating envelope that adheres tightly to the surface. The tape cannot then be unwound, and the only way to remove it is to cut it lengthwise. The tape does not contaminate surfaces and does not react with them.
Application:
- securing cable connections
- protecting cable connection joints in indoor and outdoor equipment
- increasing the thickness of the insulation layer for better mechanical protection of the cable
- protecting steel pipes against corrosion
- wrapping tool handles to provide electrical insulation and increase adhesion
- replacing old, damaged or inappropriate insulation materials
Instructions for use
Surfaces to which the tape is applied should be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, oil and other contaminants.
Correct application involves wrapping (without protective film) with such tension that the tape narrows to 2/3 of its width and successive layers are applied with a 50% overlap. This ensures that the tape is tightly adhered to the object to be protected and the subsequent layers of tape. The tension of the tape when wrapping is very important, as it guarantees the necessary adhesion force. If the layers adhere tightly, the self-vulcanisation process will take place correctly and the seal between the wrapped surface and the tape will be ensured. Depending on the ambient temperature, vulcanisation of the layers to each other, but not to the substrate, takes place within a few hours.

The item is sold in rolls that should be stored in the original packaging. The storage life of individually shrink-wrapped roll is at least one year (between +10oC and +30oC).
