The default mode of the SFP port is set to full duplex. To make TP-Link switches compatible with other devices (e.g. media converters ULTIMODE), the Duplex parameter of the SFP port should be set to AUTO.
Managed TP-LINK switches are powerful network devices with extensive set of management tools. With easy access to configuration functions, network traffic control becomes much simpler than before. Available management options include: command-line interface (CLI), telnet sessions, SNMP, management via web browser. These managed gigabit switches provide very high stability and efficiency of operations - the basic features required by network administrators. Reliable operation of the network is also supported by spanning tree protocol, QoS and robust security features.
Key features:
- instant 10G connectivity: 4 x SFP+ 10 Gbps slots ensure high bandwidth and switching capabilities,
- 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports,
- Omada SDN available: the platform provides access to a maintenance-free configuration of central cloud management and intelligent monitoring,
- centralized management: the management is extremely convenient thanks to the access from the cloud and the easy-to-use Omada application,
- static routing: allows you to direct network traffic for efficient use of network resources,
- strong security strategies: IP-MAC-Port Binding, ACL, Port Security, DoS Defend, Storm control, DHCP Snooping, 802.1X, Radius , Authentication,
- voice and video application optimization: L2/L3/L4 QoS and IGMP snooping,
- management: Web, CLI (console port, Telnet, SSH), SNMP, RMON and Dual Image offer great management possibilities.
High network reliability:
- available protocols: STP/RSTP/MSTP ensure network stability,
- the LACP protocol allows broadening the transmission bandwidth and balancing the network traffic in all aggregated ports.
Improved network efficiency and access control:
- the use of ACL control list prevents access to some network resources (for specified MAC, IP addresses and TCP/UDP ports),
- the use of the 802.1p protocol and determination of data transmission priorities for ports ensures smooth transmission of multimedia data,
- IGMP snooping protocol enables the control of the transmission of multicast packets,
- streamlined network diagnostics with port mirroring.
Easy administration of network security:
- support for DHCP Snooping, IP Source Guard,
- centralized management and IEEE 802.1x Port-based authentication,
- improved network security thanks to the use of GARP/GVRP protocols for extensive virtual networks based on the 802.1Q VLAN standard,
- Guest VLAN feature allows specified resources to be accessed by unauthorized systems,
- to protect the Ethernet network from external attacks, the switch supports SSH, SSL communication protocol standards to ensure the security of transmitted data.
Various methods for network configuration and management:
- SNMP v1/v2/v3 management with the support of 4 RMON groups (1/2/3/9); to maximize network performance, the ability to set "traps" and forward information on unexpected events has been introduced,
- convenient management choice: command line interface (CLI), telnet sessions or management via a web browser,
- the VCT tool helps you solve transmission problems.
