Eedundant power supply systems are often employed at selected locations to ensure reliable power supply. This means that a given device is fitted with a second, independent power source, activated whenever the basic power supply goes down.
The UP413 R82533 power supply generates a 12 VDC current to power devices dedicated for the reception and processing of TV signals: channel and multiband amplifiers, headends using TERRA's transmodulators, and TERRA's IPTV system. When two units are used, the failure of one will not affect the operation of the entire system: the power supply will be instantly and automatically switched to the other power source.
The complete Terra solution for MATV (shared antenna) systems includes:
