Details
F1-600 cleaver is designed for quick and accurate cutting of fibers with a cladding diameter of 125 um and 250/900 um buffer coating diameters. The cleaver has a scale to set the length of the cleaved fiber within 2 to 20 mm range. This field fiber cleaver is ideal for cutting fibers in order to install mechanical splices or fast connectors. The ceramic blades are designed for 6000 operations.
Distinguishing features:
- ceramic blades
- for cutting fibers with a cladding diameter of 125 um and 250/900 um buffer coatings
- ideal field tool for cutting fibers in order to install mechanical splices or fast connectors
- graduated scale (2 to 20 mm)
The preparation of a fiber for splicing etc.:
- strip the cable sheath to 125 µm diameter fibre using the L5903 cleaver
- clean the fibre with L5913 dust free Kim-Wipes moistened with L5915 IPA cleaner
- using F1-6000 fibre cutter to precisely cut the fibre leaving the length of cleaned fibre needed for installation
- make a final cut depending on the operation carried out
The tool is highly recommended to install ULTIMODE mechanical splices and fast connectors:
