Details
Signal HD HDMI to IP converter enables connection of high-definition (HD) signal to a receiver (TV set, monitor) equipped with HDMI interface via CAT5e or CAT6 cable. The device also allows to transmit a remote control signal, e.g. to control a DVD player.
The outgoing IP signal from the transmitter can be fed to an Ethernet switch to be distributed to a larger number of receivers. The throughput of the compressed signal at the transmitter output is approximately 30 Mbit/s. A suitable receiver is required to decode the signal correctly - viewing the image on a PC equipped with a network card is not possible.
Key features:
- transmission via one CAT 5e/6 cable
- UDP/IP transmission (multicast)
- Point-to-multipoint connection possible
- 1080p picture mode
- remote extension cable
- maximum cable length 100 m
The system is perfect for connecting remote HD source like sat receiver, Blu-ray player, PC, game console etc. to HD-enabled TVs/monitors/projectors. The connection to each of the TVs/monitors requires to use only one, comparatively thin cable, which makes it easy to hide it, e.g. when installing the TV/monitor on an LCD/LED mount.

The converter/extender uses High-Definition Digital Bit Transmission Technology (HDbitT). HDbitT is a protocol used for professional delivery/transmission of high-quality image and audio over IP networks. The protocol supports video resolutions of up to 4Kx2K @ 60 Hz, transmitted wirelessly or over network cables, electrical installations, optical fibers, or coaxial cables.
