Details
A typical antenna has a balanced output of 300 Ohm impedance, while a coaxial cable is an unbalanced load of 75 Ohm impedance. This is why an additional device must be used to fit an antenna to a coaxial cable. An impedance transformer (or balun) is a passive device which matches the impedance of the balanced source of signal to the unbalanced load.
The C0003 balun has been developed experimentally for use with broadband antennas of ASP series. The device has not been tested with other types of antennas.
