Details
PVC adhesive tape E9823 from SCAPA is a high-quality, lead-free, insulating, self-extinguishing, soft PVC tape with a strong rubber-based adhesive coating. It is a top quality product, manufactured in the European factories of the SCAPA concern. It is manufactured to international norms and standards.
Key features of the PVC tape:
- top quality materials used ensure a slow ageing process
- rubber-based adhesive provides high adhesion to the substrate
- high elasticity (180%) with high breaking load (25 N/cm)
- self-extinguishing material
- good resistance to abrasion, scuffing, corrosion and moisture
- good resistance to punctures
- approved by IMQ and VDE*
- adapted to BS3924
- working temperature: 0°C...90°C
- complies with European Directive 2000/53 EC - the tape contains no lead, chromium VI, mercury or cadmium)
* VDE - Verein der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik e.V. - is a well-known certification company. Products marked with its logo are honoured and respected worldwide. Marking tapes with the VDE mark means that they comply with the European standard and are completely safe to use.
Application:
- wrapping of cable reels
- colour coding the cables
- sealing of cables
- electrical insulation up to 600 volts
Recommendations:
Rolls should be stored flat in their original packaging. They should be protected from dust, heat, moisture, direct sunlight and chemical fumes. The storage temperature should be between 10°C and 25°C.
The tape should be applied with sufficient tension to ensure optimum adhesion and in a minimum of two half overlapping layers. The last layer should be applied with less tension to prevent the tape from weakening and curling.
Surfaces to which tape is applied should be clean, dry, free from dust, grease, oil and other contaminants.
