ETH10-2wire-SET is a set of active converters designed to transmit Ethernet data and PoE power, using only 2 wires, for example, one pair of twisted-pair UTP cable. The devices allow the installation of cameras or other IP PoE devices in places where it is impossible or uneconomical to replace the existing cabling.

The ETH10-2wire-TX module is powered from any PoE switch (through the RJ45 port), and then through 2 wires, it allows bidirectional network communication and powering the ETH10-2wire-RX module along with the connected PoE camera. Optionally, devices can be powered via POWER screw connectors. The maximum cable length of the 2wire path is 1000m.
The maximum distance of PoE data and power transmission depends on the type, length and cross-section of the cables used. The stability of transmission can be affected by other wires in the cable path and additional intermediate connections. The best performance and the longest transmission range can be achieved by using two single twisted-pair cables, such as one pair of twisted-pair UTP cable. A camera or other PoE receiver can be connected to the RJ45 port of the ETH10-2wire-RX module at the end of the line.

Depending on the selected mode of operation of the converters, powering them and the connected devices can be done in several ways: PoE power or from an external power supply, both on the side of the ETH10-2wire-TX transmitter and the ETH10-2wire-RX receiver. If the receiver is connected to another switch or network card that does not support PoE, it is necessary to disable PoE power by setting the jumper on the ETH10-2wire-RX receiver accordingly.

The device is characterized by its very small size, which allows for easy installation in small spaces, such as a camera base or an installation box.
