The shelf is designed for a RACK cabinet with a depth of 450 mm (e.g. R912018). Thanks to the shelf for RACK cabinets, it is possible to mount devices that are not in 19" rack housings. An example of such devices is the TERRA MSV-912 9-input, 12-output multiswitch with active terrestrial R70862.
