The SRM-564 R80564 programmable multiswitch is equipped with 3 pairs of dSCR/Legacy outputs + Terr. TV out. The single-cable dSCR/Unicable mode enables independent splitting of RTV/SAT signals using common satellite splitters operating in the 5-2400 MHz band according to the Unicable II standard to up to 32 satellite receivers for each pair. By default, each output of the multiswitch from a given pair is programmed in a configuration allowing the division of the RTV/SAT signal to 16 receivers. Each of the multiswitch outputs can be reprogrammed using the PC102W R80561 programmer. The output in Legacy mode (regular output, like in a Universal LNB or classic multiswitches) allows to connect a classic satellite receiver.
The SRM-564 R80564 pass-through multiswitch is a device that allows to distribute DVB-S/S2 signals from one satellite (two satellite positions after using wideband converters), terrestrial DVB-T and analog/DAB radio based on digital channel stacking technology. The SRM-584 R80584 pass-through multiswitch has full support for receivers operating in two dynamic modes: SCR (Unicable I - 8 User Bands) and dSCR (Unicable II - 32 User Bands). It is equipped with 5 inputs (four polarisation/band pairs (VL-HL-VH-HH) plus an active TV path) and 3 pairs of outputs: dSCR Out (allowing independent division of the RTV/SAT signal to max. (for independent splitting of the RTV/SAT signal to up to 16 receivers using satellite splitters operating in the 5-2400 MHz band for each of the 6 outputs according to the EN50607 standard) /Legacy Out (normal output, as in a Universal-type converter or in classic multiswitches used for connecting a classic satellite receiver). Included AGC circuit (Automatic Gain Control) appropriately corrects the amplification at the multiswitch's output to ensure a constant, preset signal level.
By default, all outputs of the SRM-564 R80564 multiswitch are configured in Legacy mode and switch to Unicable as soon as they receive a DiSEqC command compliant with the EN50494/EN50607 standard (dynamic mode). This means that on each of the two outputs of the multiswitch for each of the 3 pairs the signal can be independently split to up to 16 receivers using satellite taps operating in the 5-2400 MHz band according to the EN50607 standard.
The device can operate in two modes:
  • dynamic mode (DYNAMIC) - the output frequencies are fixed and each is assigned to a receiver (User Bands), signal division using satellite splitters up to a maximum of 32 receivers (for each of the four pairs). The receivers must comply with EN50494/EN50607 (UNICABLE I/UNICABLE II).
  • static mode (STATIC) - both input and output frequencies are fixed, works as an IF/IF converter allowing distribution of the signal from 32 satellite transponders to an unlimited number of receivers (limitation is the exclusion of passive components in the installation).
The programming of dSCR multiswitches is performed by the dedicated PC102W R80561 programmer.
The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit.
The multiswitch requires an external power supply, e.g. PS202F 20 V 2 A R71468. If the multiswitch installation is expanded, a second DC 20 V connector can be used to power the other switches.
The table shows the default settings of the SRM-564 R80564 multiswitch (operation mode - DYNAMIC, 16+16 User Bands, Bandwidth, Level), which can be modified by the dedicated PC102W R80561 programmer.

There are many models of different satellite receivers on the market today. Not all of them support the SCR/Unicable system in accordance with EN50494 or EN50607.
