The tap is used in multiswitch installations to divide 9-cable systems into two subnetworks (18 outputs), the primary (pass-through) branch with low attenuation and the secondary (tap) branch with higher attenuation. The application of the taps in large, unsymmetrical multiswitch systems allows for equalization of signal levels in their subnetworks. The tap is equipped with DC-pass switch that in "ON" position runs current through "H" lines to two branches. In "OFF" position it takes place only within one branch.
The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit.
