Details

Taps are used in multiswitch installations to divide the signal from the trunk line into the main path with lower attenuation and the branch path with higher attenuation (9 inputs, 18 outputs). This element allows to equalize signal levels in individual areas of a multiswitch installation. The taps have a DC-transition switch which, when set to "ON", passes DC voltage through the "H" paths to both branches. When set in the "OFF" position, it only passes voltage to one branch.
The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit.
Key features:
  • 8 taps for SAT + terrestrial RTV
  • replaces 9 single TV/SAT taps
  • has a possibility of switching off the DC-transition
  • attenuation of tap path 20 dB
  • cast housing ensuring high level of shielding - class A

How to connect a Quatro LNB to Terra multiswitch

Descriptions of the satellite LNB outputs and the multiswitch inputs depend on their manufacturers. To avoid confusion, our movie illustrates the differences and clarifies the issue.

Designing SMATV systems with TERRA SatNet software

Designing antenna systems with the use of free software from TERRA - SatNet application. The program allows to prepare the project in graphical form, to determine signal levels in all outlets and verify if they are compliant with standards, and to decide whether to use equalization function of the amplifiers. The program enables the user to archive the designs.
