Details
The ULTIPOWER 0288af N29983 PoE switch is a desktop device providing smooth network transmission. It enables connections at speeds of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps. It has 8 FastEthernet ports (10/100 Mb/s) supporting automatic connection speed negotiation. All Fast Ethernet ports support Power over Ethernet (PoE). In addition, the switch has a Gigabit Ethernet port (1000 Mbps), which is used for backbone connections. The switch automatically detects PD devices operating under the IEEE 802.3af standard and supplies them with power. This makes it possible to extend network coverage in places where there is no access to sockets or power lines, but where there is a need to place access points, IP cameras, IP telephones, etc. In addition, thanks to the SFP slots, the switch allows transmission via optical fibre.
Key features:
- 8 RJ-45 10/100 Mbps ports (all PoE)
- 2 SFP slots (1000 Mbps)
- 2 RJ-45 1000 Mbps ports
- 8 PoE ports, transfer data and power the device using a single cable
- no installation or configuration of the device is required
- PoE power supply of up to 15.4 W for each PoE port
- support for PoE-powered devices operating in accordance with IEEE802.3af
- support for MAC address auto-learning and auto-aging (1K table size)
- LEDs for connection status, speed, activity and power supply

802.3af vs. 802.3at
The most popular PoE standard, 802.3af, is used e.g. by IP cameras. The supplying voltage can vary from 44 to 57 VDC and the consumed power cannot exceed 15.4 W. The 802.3at version allows for powering devices with DC voltage within 50...57 V range, which consume up to 25.5 W. This group of devices includes printers, IP PTZ cameras, switches.
ULTIPOWER is a brand of high quality IP network devices intended for Ethernet networks, also with Power over Ethernet (PoE) option. All devices of this brand are characterized by maximum performance combined with high reliability.
