SN-FXP3200MIR camera uses the highest-quality 1/3'' CCD Super HAD II from SONY, which is an improved version of the SONY CCD Super HAD sensor. SONY Super HAD II sensor is characterized by a considerable improvement in image quality over its predecessor. It is mainly better color and brightness reproduction of the scene in low-light conditions. Below there are images from cameras with the two types of the sensors.

By using a very good sensor and with the possibility of setting image parameters in the camera MENU, the images are of the highest quality. The camera produces a natural-color rendition of the original scene and, thanks to a high resolution of the video (550 TVL), it is possible to distinguish fine details.
In addition, the quality of the camera image can be improved by proper adjustment of the dynamic range, which allows to avoid the effect of a too dark object or too bright background. This feature allows to set optimum exposition of the image sensor so that both dark and bright objects are well recognizable. This function is especially suitable in situations where the light comes from behind the object in the foreground

The camera is equipped with built-in IR illuminator. It allows the camera to work in the absence of external light. The illuminator is switched on automatically when the light falls below a certain threshold and the camera continues operation in B/W mode.
The camera comes with built-in lens with adjustable focal length from 2.8 to 11 mm (F1.4) which is very suitable for setting optimum field of view. The viewing angle can be changed from 79 to 25 degrees. The lens is designed for day/night operation, maintaining high image quality both in daylight and in infrared light.
The camera is easily controlled with local keyboard and OSD menu. The buttons hidden under the dome allow to adjust practically all parameters of the camera. The menu provides a set of sub-menus that enable the user to adjust such parameters like brightness of the DC lens, AGC, BLC, SENSE-UP, WD, as well as motion detection and privacy settings.
The camera is put in vandal-proof housing. The body of the housing is made of metal and the dome of polycarbonate, both protecting the camera against impact. The camera can be mounted either on ceiling or wall (3 AXIS) and allows hide the cables. The camera can also be used outdoors (IP66). It is equipped with coaxial cable with a standard BNC connector (video) and connection to a 12 VDC power supply.
The camera is recommended for use in environments with dynamically changing lighting conditions, due to its ability to cope with possible overexposure. The environments include relatively dark rooms which are intermittently open or illuminated, main entrance gates, entrances to stores etc. Due to the possibility of defining privacy and motion detection zones, the camera can be employed in such places like jails, prisons, swimming pools.

The images on the left of the pairs below were captured with a standard CCTV camera. On the right there are images from the camera with WDR function. It is clear that the WDR function allows to obtain optimal images - without overexposure or dark areas. The images have smooth gradation of tones thus can provide a wealth of information. The SN-FXP3200MIR camera can be used in places where there is a need for the highest quality images.
