The VD-1 vibration detector (white) with magnetic contact is designed for use in burglary and panic alarm systems. The detector employs two independent sensors, piezoelectric vibration sensor and magnetic contact, which makes it ideal for protecting a window or door against any intrusion attempts. The detector also has anti-tamper protection and NC relay output that can cooperate with any alarm control panel. Despite advanced electronics, the device features low current consumption.
Thanks to advanced processing of the signal from the piezoelectric sensor, the vibration detector can distinguish between natural vibrations in the environment and those caused by an attempt to force the window or door. The signal is analyzed for amplitude, duration and the number of vibrations. The magnetic contact signals a shift of the magnet from the reed switch, opening the electric circuit.
