The TP-Link TD-W9970 modem router has been designed for sharing Internet connection provided by Ethernet WAN (EWAN) or VDSL2/ADSL line. It has IEEE802.11n/b/g Access Point (transmission speed up to 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz), Fast Ethernet switch, multifunctional USB port. The USB port allows for sharing a printer or local storage, as well as can provide access to the files via the Internet, using the built-in ftp server option. The TD-W9970 is the perfect choice for users who want to enjoy HD video streaming and online games.

The USB 2.0 port of the TD-W9970 router allows users to easily share data in the network (by configuring NAS/FTP server). Users can share music, video files and photos with the built-in media server. In addition, the embedded print server simplifies the use of a network printer at home or in the office.

The TD-W9970 modem router supports VDSL2/ADSL or Ethernet WAN (EWAN) connections, which allows the user to freely select the type of connection to the Internet. This unique feature makes it easy to change the ISP, e.g. from ADSL to a cable TV operator, or even to an operator providing services through modems connected to fiber optic network.

The ability to simultaneously service up to 10 IPsec VPN tunnels allows for creating a VPN network that guarantees the users security, regardless of whether they use the network resources locally or remotely.
