The TP-Link CAP1750 dual-band wireless access point provides a flexible, easy-to-install, manageable and secure business-class wireless network solution. It can be easily mounted to a wall or ceiling. WLAN configuration and management are simplified through centralized management software in the AC50 N2551 wireless controller. TP Link CAP devices also provide captive portal and automatic RF management, making them ideal for high-density, demanding business environments, such as campuses, hotels, shopping malls, offices.
Key features
  • Hardware controller enables central management of hundreds of CAP devices
  • CAP1750 is a dual-band device, 2.4 GHz (450 Mbps) and 5 GHz (1300 Mbps)
  • Support for 802.11ac
  • Support for functions:
    • Band Steering - automatically connecting users to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network
    • Load Balance
  • Support for PoE 802.3at
  • Easy to mount on a wall or ceiling
  • Authentication with captive portal
  • Multi-SSID to separate wireless clients
Modern design and ease of installation make the CAP1750 the perfect choice for any room or interior space. The device with PoE 802.3at interface can be easily powered from the connected PoE switch without a need for an additional cable.
The use of AC50 N2551 hardware controller enables simultaneous network configuration and management of multiple CAP devices. The management includes real-time monitoring, graphical analysis of network traffic, and batch firmware updates.
Some features of the AC50 N2551 network controller:
  • Auto-detection and centralized management of up to 50 CAPs
  • Ability to upload a floor plan to visualize wireless coverage,
  • Unified configuration of wireless networks, support mapping of SSID and VLAN
  • Central updating of CAPs
  • Authentication with captive portal
  • Traffic tracking at each access point
  • Network statistics of individual users
  • Visual analysis of network resources and traffic
Captive portal provides a convenient method of authentication for Wi-Fi guests. A captive portal requires users to perform certain actions (such as viewing and agreeing to an acceptable use policy or entering a password) before network access is allowed. The required action must be verified by a server or customized database prepared by the administrator.
Enterprise-class Wi-Fi security measures help to decrease network security threats. They include 802.1X standard for port-based Network Access Control with RADIUS secure authentication and rogue access point detection, WPA/WPA2-Enterprise encryption, and Multi-SSID mode to separate the wireless clients.
