The included accessories
The TP-LINK EAP225-Wall wireless access point provides a flexible, easy-to-install, manageable and secure business-class wireless network solution. It can be easily mounted to a wall or ceiling. WLAN configuration and management are simplified through centralized management software. TP Link EAP devices also provide captive portal and automatic RF management, making them ideal for high-density, demanding business environments, such as campuses, hotels, shopping malls, offices. TP-LINK EAP225-Wall is a dual-band device operating in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Key features
  • Software for central management of wireless network
  • PoE 802.3af up to 100 m
  • Easy to mount on a wall or ceiling
  • Authentication with captive portal
  • Multi-SSID to separate wireless clients
  • Enterprise-class Wi-Fi security measures
Modern design and ease of installation make the EAP225-Wall the perfect choice for any room or interior space. The device can be powered from the included AC/DC adapter with 12 VDC output, or using PoE 802.3af option, e.g. from a PoE switch.
EAP Controller Software enables centralized configuration and management of the wireless network composed of multiple EAP devices. The functions include real-time monitoring, graphical analysis of network traffic and batch firmware updates.

Some of the features of the EAP software:
  • Central management of wireless network
  • Capability to upload a floor plan for visualization of wireless network coverage
  • Centralized firmware update
  • Authentication with the captive portal
  • Traffic tracking of individual access points
  • Traffic statistics of individual users
  • Visual analysis of the use of network resources and network traffic
Captive portal provides a convenient method of authentication for Wi-Fi guests. A captive portal requires users to perform certain actions (such as viewing and agreeing to an acceptable use policy or entering a password) before network access is allowed. The required action must be verified by a server or customized database prepared by the administrator.
Enterprise-class Wi-Fi security measures help to decrease network security threats. They include 802.1X standard for port-based Network Access Control with RADIUS secure authentication and rogue access point detection, WPA/WPA2-Enterprise encryption, and Multi-SSID mode to separate the wireless clients.
