Wireless ADSL2+ modem router TP-Link TD-W8950ND enables the user to share Internet connection supplied by telephone operator in ADSL2+ technology. The device provides reliable and cost-effective solution for homes and small businesses. It combines the functions of fast ADSL modem, NAT router, 4-port Fast Ethernet switch, and 802.11n wireless access point. TD-W8950ND allows to create fast and secure wireless networks. It enables broadband data transmission up to 150 Mbps, suitable even for wireless transmission of HD video, which would not be possible in the case of devices operating in 11g standard.

This 4-in-1 device, by combining ADSL modem, NAT router, 4-port Fast Ethernet switch, and 802.11n wireless access point, allows to create wired and wireless network sharing fast ADSL service among several users and/or many various devices with network interface. The home or business owner does not need to buy a separate modem, router, wireless access point and can simplify the connections and lower installation costs.
The TD-W8950ND modem/router supports the latest ADSL standards that ensure very fast transmission speeds (download speed up to 24 Mbps), longer range of "last-mile" connections, and minimum delays. It also supports TR-069 protocol allowing automatic firmware updates as well as configuration of the device by settings provided by the ISP.
TD-W8950ND is a quick wireless device operating in the latest N standard (802.11n) and fully compatible with 802.11b/g standards. CCA technology allows to avoid channel conflicts. Running at 150 Mbps, the device can transmit data up to nine times faster and ensure up to 4 times greater coverage compared to traditional 11g equipment. It can be used in situations which require high bandwidth connections, e.g. transmission of HD video.
The device comes with a CD-ROM containing Easy Setup Assistant wizard. It enables the user to set up step by step the network, to establish Internet connection and configure network security. With this assistant, everyone can quickly and easily configure the device without missing any important step.
TD-W8950ND has hardware firewall (SPI), so that the incoming data packets are checked at several filter stages to ensure that they have legitimate access to the local network. It protects the network against attacks from the Internet. For increased security, the device supports function that can limit access to the network to certain times of the day, as well as filtering of MAC and IP addresses or domain names. These access restrictions can be used by network administrators (in businesses) or by parents who want to control to some extent the Internet activity of their children.
The device supports QoS mechanisms that allow traffic prioritization to ensure continuous transmission of IPTV and delay-free online gaming. This feature allows users to enjoy seamless wireless transmission.
